Meta has strict advertising policies. Understanding why ads get rejected helps avoid issues in the future.
Common Reasons for Ad Rejection
Prohibited Content
Certain products and services cannot be advertised, including weapons, adult content, illegal products, and some health claims.
Misleading Claims
Exaggerated or false claims about results, guarantees, or before/after comparisons can trigger rejection.
Personal Attributes
Ads cannot imply knowledge of personal attributes. "Struggling with weight loss?" is not allowed; "Discover healthy recipes" is fine.
Landing Page Issues
If your landing page does not match the ad, has poor functionality, or contains prohibited content, the ad may be rejected.
Text in Images
While no longer a strict rule, excessive text in images can reduce delivery.
What To Do
If your ad is rejected, check the notification for the specific reason. You can edit and resubmit, or request a manual review if you believe the rejection was in error.
We proactively review all creative against Meta policies before submission to minimise rejections.
